What is Ivermectin?
Ivermectin is a macrocyclic lactone derived from Streptomyces avermitilis. Acts on glutamate-gated chloride ion channels (GluCl) in invertebrates — a mechanism absent in vertebrates, conferring selective antiparasitic activity.
